Pete and Marla, both from different backgrounds of life and love experiences, know what they want.
The original dream of Petes to become a cooper and make wine barrels, has since become an equal passion of both to develop their own family business.
Through hard work and determination, to which both of them are experienced, it is all coming together to create and renew an almost forgotten art.
Due to the help and generosity of Dale, Carol and Matthew Kirby, and the A&K Cooperage of Missouri, Pete and Marla have been given the opportunity to train and learn the lost trade of coopering. The end result will be the ability to guarantee a quality fifty-nine gallon barrel from either Canadian or American white oak. As well as the servicing and toasting of the barrels.
